Torri Friedmann enjoys working with women, children, adolescents, couples, and families. She specializes in post-partum depression, baby blues, grief and loss issues, separation and divorce issues, cancer support, addiction issues, life transitions, eating disorder support, anxiety, depression and children/adolescents with social and emotional troubles.  Torri is a christian counselor who is compassionate, caring and strives to help give a voice to individuals in crisis. She works from a client-centered perspective, using a mixture of counseling theories to fit the needs of each particular client. Torri practices cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused therapy and play therapy. She believe in empowering individuals to find personal insight, identify strengths, and find focus and balance in their life direction.

Torri's personal interests include spending time with her husband and three boys. She is passionate about her friends, taking walks, traveling, bible studies, shopping, biking, dancing, and exploring new restaurants in her home town of Austin. She enjoys watching her boys play baseball, basketball, and football.

Torri is a LMSW, Licensed Master Social Worker. She received her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social work degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1996. She has experience with counseling, case management, anger management, drug and alcohol prevention, crisis intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and play therapy techniques. She is both an individual and family counselor.
